Fall has arrived.  This picture is from Mendon, where we spent the weekend and picked 40 gallons of apples.

 
Remember this from our last web page?    This is what it looked like (R) just hours before our butterfly (named Chris by our daughters) came out of his chrysalis.

He actually came out while we were driving.  Here his wings are still wet

Then within about one hour his wings were flat and drying

and when we got home, he started stretching his wings.  He took off for Mexico the next day.

 
This was India's and Samara's first time seeing snow.  India was hesitant but interested, Samara just thought it was cold.

We also saw the girls' little cousin Asher, Eden was particularly enamored.  As was Asher with her!
