My first stop was a few days in Washington D.C.

Me at the Capitol Building

And a stop at the White House (L) and the LDS temple (R)

I went to the new Native American Museum and loved the masks (L) and the Washington Monument (R)

Then I was off to New Orleans for the APA conference

Recognize Bill Cosby, he came and spoke at the conference.  Still funny after all these years...

The other part of New Orleans--what is left after Katrina a year ago.  The National Guard was called in last month
to help with security.  Here they are checking out a very weird sight--a house on top of a car.

In the Lower Nine, a house where they found dead pets (L) and a car randomly placed in a yard nearly vertical (R)

This house had an obituary written on it

The marks left on the house when they were checking for survivors and bodies (L) and Mardi Gras beads through a window (R)

Stairs and a porch, but no house

Other New Orleans sights.  Eating at the Napoleon House with Susan (the kind family that I stayed with in New Orleans)
and listening to this wonderfully nutty lady singing the blues by the side of the road.
