The girls in their new Easter dresses from their grandmother

Samara was really tough to photograph today!

This week Asia came into the kitchen saying, under her breath, "512, 1024, 2048,
4096." I asked her, "Are you doubling?"
Her response, with a kind of rapture in her voice, "Yes, don't you just LOVE
doubling? I just LOVE doubling--it is so fun."
Eden was such a helpful girl today, helped me cook dinner,
helped get her sisters ready for church, and so many other things. When I
thanked her for
helping so much and making it a good day, she said "I'm just happy and I wanted
it to be a happy day because today is the day Jesus was resurrected."

India is really learning to read quickly now. She finished the first set
of Bob Books and now is on another set of books. She is getting some words
by sight
now and seems unintimidated by tougher books. She often says to me, as I
put her in bed, "You are a wonderful boy."
Samara is a horse crazy girl, as you will see below. She
can whinny, neigh, snort, and everything. She'll do just about anything
you need her to, as long
as she has one of her horse friends with her. She is starting to talk a
lot more now and is a real joy.

Yes, Easter egg hunt in deep snow--but a lot has melted in the last week
