I am a professor of psychology at the American
University in Cairo, Egypt. I teach courses including: Personality
Theories, Psychological Assessment, Psychosocial Issues for Refugees, Good &
Evil across Cultures & Time, Social Psychology, etc. My research interests
lie in theoretical psychology, including values in psychological assessment,
self-esteem vs. other-esteem, and a Taoist alternative to the assumptions of
western psychotherapy. I have been at AUC since August 2004.
